Pilgrim
SV Zans War Jet
“Pilgrim”
Annie’s first foal born March 17, 2005

This guy is definitely a real interesting color.
When he was born, the mane and body looked palomino, but the black in his tail made me wonder.
AQHA ended up calling him a dun because of his “faint” dorsal and tiger stripes.

Getting ready for the races 2015
2014 Flying W at state…received 3rd

Pilgrim is one of those special horses. He can go to a horseshow and do very well in reining and western pleasure then go in and turn on the speed in the race events. He won reserve at a NEAFQHR show the end of May which included cattle events, reining, ranch pleasure, Handy Ranch Horse (trail), barrels, poles, and keyhole.
Pilgrim won my age group at the KWHA State Show in 2014, 2015 and 2016.He won Reining all 3 years and won Western Pleasure in 2016 and was 2nd in 2015 and 3rd in 2014.Then he went on to run some great times in the race events. Then he can be rode by kids here at the ranch and is a great cow horse. His mom is producing well.

Pilgrim has sure bulked up in the first 5 years of his life.

Pilgrim and his mom, Annie

Height is about the only thing similar between mom and son except
for they’re both duns. Very different duns, that’s for sure.
